Turin’s public transport network — buses, trams, metro and SFM (Metropolitan Rail Service) — is run by GTT – Gruppo Torinese Trasporti. From the GTT website you can download the route maps for weekdays, public holidays and the city-centre area.
Almost all bus and tram lines run from 5:00 am to midnight. On Fridays and Saturdays the metro extends its service until 1:30 am.
For night owls, the Nightbuster network connects the suburbs to the central terminus at Piazza Vittorio Veneto, with stops near the main nightlife venues. In the summer months (until 10 September), every Friday, Saturday and the eve of public holidays, an extended version runs with 17 lines linking 26 municipalities of the metropolitan belt to the city centre.
To check real-time arrivals at your stop, you have two options:
The Host’s tip: the simplest and quickest way is still Google Maps. Set your location and your destination, select “public transport” and in a few seconds you have the route, times and connections. We use it ourselves every time we need to suggest an itinerary to our guests.
Valid for 100 minutes from the first validation, including one metro ride. It must be validated every time you change vehicle. Ideal if you make one or two journeys a day.
Valid for unlimited rides from the first validation until the end of the day’s service (around 2:00 am). Please note: it is not 24 consecutive hours, but the current day. It is best to validate it in the morning to get the most out of it.
Valid for 48 or 72 consecutive hours from the first validation.
| 48 hours | 72 hours | |
|---|---|---|
| On paper | €9.50 | €12.50 |
| TO Move app | €7.80 | €10.30 |
The Host’s tip: if you are staying three days and want to explore the city without a care, the 72h Tour is unbeatable. If you get it on the TO Move app you save more than €2 compared with the paper version. If instead you are only making a few journeys, the digital Daily at €3.70 is the smartest choice for a busy day.
On buses, trams and the metro you can pay directly with your contactless card or smartphone (Apple Pay, Google Pay), without buying anything in advance.

Important things to know:
The Host’s tip: if you are only making a few journeys, or you have just arrived and haven’t downloaded any app yet, contactless is by far the most convenient option. No queues, no ticket to keep.
